One of the best surprise from this 2017.. Hope you understand some italian to appreciate the implied dark humour of the lyrics.. A perverted mix of Horror Core , samples from opera (Pavarotti and more) and rap! Perhaps this project from DJ Balli and Co. is going to tour around Europe.. Hopefully also in Berlin..
I still read this (as also Ballis Plunderphonia text in one of the last Datacides) as a fucked up instrumentalisation of wrong assigned bodies and repression. Like there the so called "sex reassignment surgery" is shown as a ridiculous act from a normative, genitalist perspective, in a normative, genitalist (both same) language, again.
No one would dare to foreign determine the body of a person affected by daily racism and describe it in a racist way then, but foreign determine the body of a person affected by daily genitalism and even describe the act of modifying the body as (maybe) a protection against genitalism in a genitalist (and thereful hateful, disrespecting and oppressing) way seems ok for all of you????????????
I yet told my critics to people of Praxis when the article of the same manner appeared in Datacide, written by DJ Balli and finally silence - no reaction in general, now the same shit, again, I don´t see the point in bashing bullshit in a genitalist way, I just see DJ Balli having a problem and reproducing genitalist discrimination in a (for me) absolutely non supportable way, again.

the whole thing is more difficult than I could express. I do not want to get into detail, but I always had divergent feelings about Datacide and their resident crews/hood[=crowd] (it seems so is SB also), on the one hand/superficially everything seems reflected and trying not to act in a shitty way, but on the other hand, there were always also genitalist assholes and actions/gestures in the background on parties and if I talked about emancipative issues, I always did not feel comfortable, as if I would talk to strangers or if it would be just a disturbance action. (This is not common for me in the surrounding where I party, even not in the politcal ones in Berlin, to have these feelings)
I tried to hide this until now, but I can not do this anymore because the same principle like around Neofolk: If you are aware to act in a crowd where genitalism and genitalists are still taking place it should be selfevident that its fucked up to display or support statements and art that seem just genitalist and will push these people/actors to think "I am right, even the artists give me subliminally support in my actions, we just have to do it less clearly."
For me it seems to be the same shit like when rrrriotgrrrl was absolutely necessary (it is still but I have no better words actually), but I could be wrong. I want to get away from that silent suspucions which stabilize paranoia and division, so I speak it out in public now, I am not the only one who feels and thinks in that way, but even if I would be, it would be necessary to ask about the intention and concept behind this and an explaination because it seems like unreflected discrimination which is pushing the wrong people and mechanisms and nothing else to me and together with the feelings and experiences I had on the one or other praxis/datacideparty (some was certainly paranoia, some certainly not), it is a difficult situation for me and this stuff is provocative enough to ask why and if other people see the same problems which we do and why (not).
well, as i wrote, you should have had some previous understanding of italian language, knowledge of the italian mainstream culture to appreciate such kind of satyrical ep.. i don't see it as an attack against a given group of people.. and moreover i cannot really see it as an attack against your group of interest since your dialectic seems most of the time confused and generalist.. in my opinion this ep strikes directly the conformist Italian society, a society that compared to other (especially some parts of Northern European societies) still has much to do with a suffocating presence of the church. a society that is considered modern because only filled with contemporary goods/technologies.
since i have been around and collaborate in the "scene" i can certainly say that datacide parties had always an heterougeneous crowd.. that meant you can find space for confrontation in between worlds which are very different indeed.. that seemed to me a good starting point.. anyway i never experienced kind of racist/sexist behaviour. maybe my filter regarding these topics is kind of different than yours.. and moreover i haven't seen you around a datacide party since a while which means it is difficult to speak about something if you don't experience that..

... so it still does leave the impression, that this track is meant to make fun of sexual minorities in a denunciating and stigmatising way, by reducing peoples sex onto their genitals and also confirming genitalist, bodynormative stereotypes by speaking about genital operations - that people do to protect themselves against a sexist and genitalist society- in a disgusting and humiliating manner. even the use of the words "SEX REASSIGNMENT SURGERY" makes clear how unreflected and ignorant the whole thing is, since it´s a repressive term to create the illusion that sex can be changed by surgery, a term that is used to state and reproduce the patronizing message that the institutional biologist and religious constructed foreign(!) assignment of sex is more important and evident than the statement and knowledge of a person it self. As well as it is a pathologizing term to justify foreign determination of a persons sex, as an encroachment upon bodily autonomy, to deny the right of a person to speak for them self and make any self-determination of sex seem impossible. And with that, like done in that track above, to turn any effort to break that authoritarian social and governmental forced assignment of sex into ridicule and turning any resistance into fair game for any random chauvinistic dickhead - even or even more when they abuse their social status, like being artist, to profile with their sexist, body-normative bullshit!
but you are the one here that speaks Italian, so if there is any other possible interpretation of that track and the lyrics why don´t you tell us?
seems a bit odd just to trivialize the message, devalue someone's speaking ability and blame the -in my opinion appropriate- critic of someone as an absurd illusion. also your explanation that it "strikes directly the conformist Italian society" appears more like a flimsy attempt to digress the mentioned discriminations. it´s more like crossing the street at a red light, and to say that was against the conformist society, but not to mention, that it was done to get quicker to a meeting with your estate agent to induce the forced eviction of a homeless shelter, par example - it just does n´t has anything to do with the subject matter!

there is no substantial difference between the original italian lyrics and their english translation. and nothing that requires any particular knowledge of the italian mainstream (i am born and raised in italy).

there is no attempt to deceive anyone by my statement. simply i don't think that the the perception of some idiomatic expressions can ever be translated to 100% from one language to another. As often it can happen to me not understanding certain idiomatic expressions in German or English.
i still remain in the opinion that this track(as well as the whole EP) has nothing to do with sexism of the authors but rather it is a parody of both italian mainstream culture and that kind of "gangsta hip hop" full of fake machos/criminals which is popular there(see fabri fibra, marracash to name the worst). although this EP may seem childish i cannot understand your hatred as if dj balli personally offended you.

Sounds pretty ignorant, and i don't get what he actually wanted to say about the Italian Society? Is the person in the lyrics, who gets the surgery ment to be a metaphor for the Italian Society? Like Ivan said, wich acts modern but under the surface is still very conservative? Well if this is the case, i think it's even more indicative for the underlying thought. Sounds like "You may change your genitals, but you will never be a real woman/man", then. Pretty fucked up. Because if it weren't for that explanaition, i thought its more the case of want to shock and provoke on behalf of supressed minorities, without really caring about their situation. Not much better, but still something else.
About the Datacide, i don't remember reading something like this, but i also didn't read all the datacides. About the parties, i felt mostly good there and can't really remember anything bad happening there, but i am not you and my perception is different of course.

I meant "as bad personal discrimination experiences on several datacide parties evidently showed to US" because I was mentioning (having had) some bad experiences before. (without describing them in details)
I do not go into detail anymore. Because I yet wrote about several discrimination experiences on other parties, also containing physical violence and it made people here often say shit like "you just call for cheap attention" "this was your paranoia, it did not happen!", "this just happened because you provoced it" "this always only happens to you two/three" and this makes me not wanting to write about these experiences to detailled anymore.
Just to say, there seem usually to exist people coming as guests also (!) on Datacide parties who do not understand that it is not okay to offend, sexually harass or attack us and especially not to act even more barefaced and aggressive when we tell them to shut up and leave us alone, then. I think to have perceived this in a different way and attitide/self understanding than towards other women several times. Just believe me.
I am saying us but I am very sure we are not the only ones who several times and on several parties got treaten like this by guests. And I just don´t want to be surrounded then with texts and tracks there which even makes assholes like this thinking they earn respect for how they disrespect us and show us "that we are ridiculous and not allowed to feel good". in accordance to the "jokes" of these texts and tracks and the values and hierarchies the language there transfers.
