"So Fucking Future siphoned into existence winter of 2011 in New York City. On February 25th, a Bushwick loft building had industrial music churn it's organs in a way that Brooklyn hadn't quite ached before. Sure, techno and drum and bass had some of its first battles in that very same neighborhood years if not decades earlier but that rigid night of northeastern tundra, there was a fresh miasma about.
After exceptional response, SFF returned again that Spring to the same spot; this time equipped with sound reinforcements and a life-size collaboration mural by Josh Finley and SFF Co-founder, SHVLFCE, further immersing the audience. SFF also introduced residence and NYC techstep survivors, Silentkiller and Breaker. Finally a tribal avant pop performance was given by grammy-nominated Jogyo to headline what was So Fucking Future: Habitats.
The next winter, SFF charged Manhattan's Tammany Hall for Cycles. This time headlined by dnb legend and Offshore Records founder, Clever. The winter of 2013, SFF traversed the nation and was found at LA club staple, The Dragonfly. Local techno dons, Raiz headlined along with Respect resident, Clutch, and American techstep divinity, Miyuki. By now, SFF's fresh perspective on presenting the techno narrative in the form of a single night event was well refined. In march, SFF leapt back to Manhattan to host The Sect's stateside debut. Deemed Colonies, it could not be promoted without grabbing the attention of another veteran of everything fast and punishing, End.user. End.user, cooped up in the boonies of New York Sate, reached out in excitement and was swiftly added to the bill.
Over a year and several full moons later, SFF finally resurfaced in the founder's new home of Berlin on November 21st. Exactly 1 year prior SFF co-founders, SHVLFCE and Death Qualia (known musically as DEFCE) journeyed out to Subland after being unable to continue watching from afar. SHVLFCE weilded his relationship with the Subland family while De Qualia made a stake in the music technology industry.
The seventh edition of So Fucking Future, realized at Subland in Berlin, managed a triple release ceremony as DEFCE premiered their debut album on Ohm Resistance, Monolog's second album on Ad Noiseam and Swarm Intelligence's Ad Noiseam debut. Deed to the new school of coom, Embrionyc, finalized the night. The saga's vitalization of industrial music crystalized and readied for the other side of the planet.
People have come and gone, but the chamber has remained the same. New management, sound, and vessels linger in the historic alley Subland once lay. Nearly 2 years later, SFF reigns once again at club Void with a line up of core mercenaries. Research lead the Fucking Future to finesse the furthering of the sound they blindly caged. Finally meeting their match, this November sees the unification of three pillars who ritualistically push the boundaries of the unknown; each separately seasoned and refined in bending axes. As a trifecta, not even Rigormortis, Splatterkore, nor So Fucking Future can give you a heads up as to what awaits."
